Education Out Loud Programme East and Southern Africa: Learning Partner’s Support to National Education Coalitions (NECs) In Development of Project Proposals. This covered seven countries; Uganda, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Lesotho, Eswatin & Nigeria. 

  • Inducted NECs on basic elements of project design, and planning including aspects such as theory of change, logical framework, M&E framework.

Consultancy services for performance assessment and enhancement of management of Doho 1 irrigation scheme in Butaleja District.

  • Conducted pre- Inception field visits, the team of consultants interacted with different stakeholders (Doho Irrigation scheme farmers’ cooperative sociality ltd-DIFACOS leaders, block leaders, Butaleja DLG leaders and MWE East regional staff.  
  • Prepared and submitted the inception report. 
  • Developed data collection tools, trained research assistants & their supervisors and conducted a socio-economic Survey in project area.
  • Developed performance and management contract documents after reviewing the old contracts.   
  • Conducted a Validation Workshop for the Situational Analysis Report, the workshop included both political and technical leaders of Butaleja  District, DIFACOS Board members, farmers leaders and MWE regional staff. 
  • Prepared and submitted the final Situational Analysis Report.

  • We tracked indicators in the areas of Livelihoods and Food security to see if Teso Livelihoods Support (TELIS) Project had had an impact following a baseline survey in 2017. 
  • We established end line indicators that were used to compare with the baseline indicators in order to establish the impact of the project.

  • Registered the established farmer based management organizations with the relevant authorities.
  • Developed Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Framework for both irrigation schemes.
  • Developed different ICT Platforms ( farmer registration module, production data collection module, payment/financial services module.) to help farmers improve scheme management. 
  • Developed different training Manuals to improve the capacity of farmers in different areas; Operation and Maintenance, Business plan for cooperatives, Strategic plans for IWUA, Human Resource, Gender mainstreaming& HIV/ AIDS, Procurement and Disposal, Participatory Monitoring and evaluation  Among others.    
  • Developed different MoUs to streamline the working relationships among stakeholders, examples of MoUs that were developed include the following; Water Service Agreement, General stakeholder MOU, Cooperative -IWUA MoU, Land Use Agreement and Tenancy Agreements. 
  •  Conducted farmers’ exposure field visit of about 100 farmer leaders to Doho1 Irrigation Scheme in Butaleja District. 
  • Conducted plot allocation exercises of about 4000 plots/acres that were distributed farmers in both Wadelai and Tochi Irrigation Schemes.
  • Prepared  and submitted the Establishment of Farmer Based Management Organisations and Participatory Irrigation Water Management Reports

Evaluation of AIM Health Project in Five countries in sub-Saharan Africa and training health facility staff in handling increased numbers of pregnant mothers and reducing morbidity and mortality    

  • It was an Evaluation Survey of World Vision Ireland’s Aim Health Project in five countries in Africa (i.e. Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Sierra Leone and Mauritania). 
  • The Study involved collecting quantitative and qualitative data regarding Child and Maternal health indicators in the 9 Intervention and 5 comparison Area Development Programs (ADPs) in the five countries.
  •  It also involved training health facility staff in handling mothers to enhance maternal survival
