In December 2023, Chrisbert Consult was contracted by the Ministry of Water and Environment to undertake stakeholder engagement activities in a World Bank funded project of Kabuyanda Irrigation Scheme – Isingiro District.
The objectives of the assignment are to:
- Undertake stakeholder mapping, mobilisation, sensitisation, and engagement to ensure project understanding and appreciation.
- Promote ownership, visibility, and participation among key community groups and project stakeholders.
- Provide technical and logistical support to the Grievance Redress Committees (GRCs) in line with the client’s proposed GRM Guidelines.
- Facilitate effective communication and feedback mechanisms throughout the project cycle to strengthen stakeholder relationships and trust.
This project is ongoing, and the consultant is currently implementing the Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Strategy to foster inclusive participation and enhance project sustainability in the Kabuyanda Irrigation Scheme.
